I like to help people, particularly those facing financial difficulties. My job as an insolvency practitioner allows me to do this in a number of ways.

1. Helping directors whose business is facing financial difficulty.

I want to lift the weight that it is often sitting heavily on directors’ shoulders as they grapple with the problems at hand. The outcomes that can be achieved differ greatly, but my job is to ensure that we find the best outcome in the circumstances and provide support to the directors to make the process as painless as possible (which is not to say it is always easy).

2. Helping individuals who are facing financial difficulty.

The circumstances which have caused the difficulties are many and varied, but in each case clear advice on the options can help individuals find the right path for them in dealing with the issues. The decisions are not always easy, but I provide support to help make that journey as easy as possible.

3. Releasing value from a company in a tax efficient manner (solvent liquidations)

Whether it is due to retirement, the sale of the business or something else, using a solvent liquidation to close a company provides an opportunity for director/shareholders to utilise the lower tax rates & related reliefs available through a capital distribution rather than income via salary or dividends.

We can quickly and cost effectively distribute money to shareholders to generate those tax savings.
